About twenty industrial flowers, at breast height, are arranged in the garden. Their metal structures, their translucent petals and their solar collector leaves, bring an intriguing personality to this garden. But it is their ability to interact with the audience that fascinate. Indeed, at the nightfall, the sleeping flowers light up: the garden awake. Equipped with sensors, it reacts in light intensity, according to public movements.
Use a party balloon. A few days earlier, fill this inflatable water balloon (without dye) and have it freezing outside. It makes an ice ball that you may bring. It will be inserted at the center of a flower, to give it life.
All day, like photosynthesis, solar collectors of the flowers's leafs store energy.
At night, the sleeping flowers light up according to the regular rhythm of their heartbeat. By a simple movement, you may wake them. Then, they sparkle and babble with the stars.
An electronic music accompanies their dance and invite you to do the same.
This multimedia garden evokes our polarized connexion to both industrialization and ecology. And the matter of what we do with our planet, our our challenge and our individual responsabilitsation. The solar flowers become an allegory of our environment, where the nature is transformed to meet our needs. But, today, a way that we want cleaner.
We see, in this exhibit, a message of hope.
